Girls State Basketball Starts Thursday
The NSAA Girls State Basketball tournament starts at four sites in Lincoln tomorrow and run all the way through Saturday night. NSAA Associate Director Jon Dolliver told the KFOR Morning Show Wednesday that 48 teams in six different classes will compete.

Lincoln Northeast has punched a ticket to the Boys State Basketball tournament next week, after earning a 66-63 win over South Sioux City to win the Class A, District 7 championship Monday night in South Sioux City. Tyson Shadegg led four Rockets in double-figures with 18 points.
District Basketball Continues Tonight On Air
Boys District basketball coverage continues on KFOR 1240 tonight, with the B-1 semifinal matchup between Norris and Waverly. Tip off will be at 7:30pm. The winner will face the winner of the game beforehand between Pius X and Plattsmouth.

For the second straight year, Lincoln Northeast's Austen Alexander claims the boys diving title at the State Swimming and Diving Meet. His Northeast teammate Aaron Haeffner finished 5th, while Lincoln Southwest's Brady Stock finished in sixth.
